My go to at home latte recipe
I love a good latte. Not just for the caffeine, but I love the taste, the feeling of a warm latte in the morning. But I hate paying crazy amounts for an overly sugared latte every day at a coffee shop! So, I decided to make at home lattes taste better than the store-bought ones so I could get the same feeling at home!
Here’s my trick – Start with a high-quality coffee and make it how you like it! If you like coffee make coffee, expresso stick with that! Then play with the flavors you like. I enjoy creamer but you can only use a little or it’s so high calorie or high sugar and I don’t like using artificial sweeteners so the zero sugar creamers are a no go for me but if you like it then use it! Just play with what you feel like works for you and then stick with it. Lastly, and I can’t recommend this enough, invest in a milk frother. Using a milk frother will hands down change your at home coffee game!
My homemade latte order:
1 Nespresso shot
1 cup fair life fat free milk
1 squirt liquid stevia
1 splash vanilla extract
Optional: 1 scoop vanilla collagen
ceylon cinnamon
Make the shot of espresso according to your machine. In a milk frother, combine milk, stevia, vanilla and collagen and turn on to froth. Once complete, pour frothed milk over the espresso and top with cinnamon.
